The Climate Leadership Summit is our annual, statewide conference specially designed for mayors, city, town and county leaders, and community partners to discuss how to prepare for the changing climate. We celebrate the progress Indiana communities have already achieved and give cities the opportunity to share best practices. We look forward to seeing you next September 2024 in Fort Wayne!

This year we convene our first gathering of municipal sustainability leaders interested in local coordination.
We will host a Youth Leaders Track for our student climate champions who shared their work, discuss their issues, and network.

Dreamland is an original play written and performed by youth actors from ReACT about dealing with climate anxiety. They will perform a 10 minute cut of their play before a screening of Liminal.
Liminal: Indiana in the Anthropocene is a meditative aerial film that illustrates our state as a microcosm of this new planetary epoch.

In August 2016, we inaugurated this remarkable gathering, the first of its kind, the Climate Leadership Summit. Our founding mayors, Jim Brainard and Joe Stahura, along with Earth Charter Indiana, convened mayors, their delegations, experts, and advocates from across the state for a day of intensive learning. The purpose was simple: to inspire action to create climate resilient communities across the Hoosier State.
