An IndyGo bus adventure to Fruit Loop Acres
This particular visit to the Southeast Community Services Center, led by Tiffany Boyd and Sarah McAfee, started off with a presentation by me on carbon pollution and climate change. The students, listened attentively as I delivered consensus science on where we're at regarding our unraveling climate, especially in Arctic and the west coast of the United States.
After lunch, we took IndyGo to Fruit Loop Acres, a perma-cultured fruit farm just east of the downtown. It's an amazing place, really, like no other place in Indianapolis, as you'll see from the photos.
There, we enjoyed the geese and ducks and fruit and bees of the habitat, learning more sustainable agriculture and climate change. All in all, it was an amazing day!
