Fort Wayne Farmers Market: Buy Local, Buy Fresh

ftwaynefarmersmkt.jpg

In October 2012, Ft. Wayne's Farmers Market (FWFM) began as one of the few year round, producer only farmers markets in Northeast Indiana, running just one Saturday a month.  With great success early on, the market then moved to two weekends a month shortly after its inception.  In four short years, our vendors have become more sustainable and growers have learned how to produce even in the harshest winter months.  Beginning in October 2016, we will be open EVERY Saturday; rain or shine, cold or stifling hot!   Even in the harsh Indiana's winter, our growers have overcome obstacles and have learned how to grow in the harshest conditions offering a wide range of fresh local produce, meats, locally baked goods, natural products, crafts and more. In winter, you will find leafy green vegetables, potatoes, onions, carrots, and fresh herbs to name a few products...we even had tomatoes through December last year!  Summer is full of zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, fresh fruits, sweet corn, and more.  FWFM is a unique, local shopping experience for all.  Our motto is “Buy Local, Buy Fresh”. FWFM is located at the corner of Barr/Wayne Street from the beginning of June through October 1st, 2016, and in the Lincoln Financial Event Center located at Parkview Field off of Douglas Street from October 8 through the end of May 2017, every Saturday from 9-1.
